I've Written a New Novel
Submitted by Sam White on Mon, 11/30/2009 - 20:07.
If you have a Kindle, you can read the first quarter of my latest novel, “All the Time in Our World”.
This is the story of Edward Garrett (Garison Fitch’s grandson), who travels through time to the end of the world with Marianne Overstreet to fight the battle that will be the beginning of the end of time itself.
If you don’t have a Kindle … you can still read the Garison Fitch novels in paperback editions available from Amazon.
Benevolent?
Submitted by Sam White on Mon, 11/30/2009 - 15:19.
There recently came a knock on the church door. This was odd because everyone in the church seems to have a key.
I answered the door and there was a young couple at the door. They didn’t want to trouble me or even come inside, but they needed help with making their rent payment.
This happens fairly often—probably once a month, or so. We try to help, though sometimes we don’t have the funds.
A Thanksgiving Hymn

Rudolph the red-beaked turkey
Had a very shiny beak
And if you ever rubbed it
You could even hear it squeak
All of the other turkeys
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Play in any turkey games
Then one cold November eve
The farmer came to say
"Rudolph with your beak so bright
Guess you'll be my meal tonight"
Then how the turkeys loved him
And they shouted out with glee
"Rudolph the red-beaked turkey
We're so glad it's you not me!"
After the Flood
Submitted by Sam White on Tue, 11/24/2009 - 16:37.
One of the arguments used against the flood is that there isn’t enough water in the world to do what the Bible says was done. That the water couldn’t have arisen to a height of 20 feet over Everest. Such a claim is based on the idea that the earth then was exactly as it is now. But as I pointed out a couple weeks ago: Psalms indicates that the mountains weren’t raised up to their present height until after the flood. There’s also another argument in our favor … but I’ll get to that in a moment.
Into the Flood

Let’s imagine you’re listening in on a Sunday school class. The teacher reads a passage of Scripture. The teacher then asks one of the students—we’ll call her Amber (for no readily apparent reason), “What does that Scripture mean?”
Amber, a thoughtful woman who is known to everyone who knows her as a strong Christian, replies, “What it means to me is …“
Before the Flood
Submitted by Sam White on Fri, 11/13/2009 - 18:47.
Was this a world-wide flood or just a localized one? Scripture indicates it was world-wide. If it were a world-wide flood, one thing we would expect to find is evidence of dead marine life all over the world. Guess what: we’ve got evidence of dead marine life all over the world. Also, if it were just a local flood … what’s the point? Especially of the animals. God gives Noah 120 years to preach and build. If it were just a local flood, wouldn’t it have been easier for God to just run all the animals off?
Conspiracy Theories by Sam White
One of my best friends is into conspiracy theories so, of course, he forwards them all on to me. Actually, he only forwards a small percentage of them to me. I'm assuming there are far more conspiracies out there than he sends to me because, in the past, if I ever made the mistake of commenting in any way on the conspiracies he sent me, he soon sent me WAY more conspiracies. I've kept my comments under wraps lately, so I only receive the minimum number of conspiracies lately.
