Where Churches and Comic Books Merge
Submitted by Sam White on Thu, 04/12/2007 - 20:02.
The respective problems of the church (in general) and the comic book (in general) wouldn’t seem to have much in common, but the reality is, we’re facing the same dilemmas.
Check out the following:
o On any given Sunday, the number of people in church is about 16% of the population. The number of people buying comic books is about 8% of the population. Both of these numbers remain pretty constant as the population fluctuates, which is why sales can go up for comic books and churches can grow without either really having any new effect on the general populace.
Eternal Security- Fact or Fiction?

Eternal Security
"Once saved, always saved," is the phrase I have sometimes heard thrown around. If I take exception to it, people are aghast (even agog).
"You mean," they ask breathlessly, "You believe someone can lose their salvation?!?!" (in a voice that clearly calls for multiple punctuation marks.)
"No," I tell them, because "lose" sounds like it’s something that happened due to carelessness. "Where’d I put my car keys? Don’t tell me I’ve lost them again!"
"Where’d I put my salvation? Don’t tell me I’ve lost it again!"
